Great tasting, savory and traditional holiday turkey gravy is simple to make with Pioneer® Roasted Turkey Gravy Mix and drippings from your roasting pan.

1 pkg. PioneerĀ® Roasted Turkey Gravy Mix
1 1/2 cups Turkey Juices and drippings from roasting pan
1/2 cup Poultry Stock or Water

Preparation Instructions:

  1. REMOVE cooked turkey from the oven, reserving the roasting pan and all of its juices.
  2. POUR the juices and drippings into a small bowl, then separate and remove the fat.
  3. MEASURE out 1 ½ cups of this liquid, then add it back to the roasting pan. With a wooden spoon or whisk, scrape the pan while stirring the liquid to release all of the brown spots on the pan.
  4. RESERVE the remainder of the juices for another use, such as keeping sliced turkey warm.
  5. TRANSFER the contents of the roasting pan to a sauce pot and bring to a boil.
  6. ADD ½ cup of poultry stock or water to a small bowl and then whisk in one package of Pioneer® Roasted Turkey Gravy Mix until smooth to make a slurry.
  7. ADD the slurry to the sauce pot and whisk to combine. When liquid reaches a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for one additional minute.

Tip: Add chopped parsley to the finished gravy if desired.
