Serving Size

This slider is more than just your average sloppy joe, but disguised with flavor as a handheld buffalo chicken wing. Based with our Williams Sloppy Joe Seasoning, this handheld will have you begging for the heat.

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs. ground beef, turkey or chicken
1 medium onion, chopped
2 pkg. Williams Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix
1 can tomato sauce (8 ounces)
1 can tomato paste (6 ounces)
3 to 6 tbsp. hot wing sauce
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
12 slider buns, split and toasted
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup bleu cheese crumbles
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. hot wing sauce

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

Cook ground beef with onion in a large skillet over medium high heat until browned, stirring to crumble beef; drain.

Add Williams Sloppy Joe seasoning mix, tomato sauce, tomato paste, desired amount of hot wing sauce, and vinegar; blend well. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Combine sour cream, bleu cheese, celery, green onion and hot wing sauce. Spoon sloppy Joe mixture on bottom of bun. Spread sour cream mixture on top bun and place on top of sandwich.

Good Idea: Slider buns are now available in local stores. However, if desired, use small bakery rolls or trim hamburger buns a little smaller using a cookie cutter. Regular size hamburger buns can be used, then serve as a main dish.
