Place beans in a slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over beans; stir to blend well.
Cover and cook on low 5 to 7 hours or on high 2 to 3 hours.
Add in shredded pork or beef or chopped cooked sausage for a heartier dish.
Note: If desired, instead of cooking in a slow cooker, pour into a 2-quart casserole, cover and bake at 350° F for 45 to 60 minutes.
