Our sausage pinwheels are perfect for any gathering. This flaky pastry is rolled with seasoned sausage and baked to golden perfection. These pinwheels are sure to disappear as fast as they come out of the oven!
1 lb (16 oz) Farmland Special Select Pork Roll of Sausage
1 can (10 oz) refrigerated pizza crust
1 pkg (2 1/2 oz) Williams Country Gravy Mix
1 cup milk
1 cup water
Crumble and cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until well browned; drain.
Unroll pizza crust on lightly floured board to make a rectangle. Spoon cooked sausage over crust. Roll dough, jelly roll fashion. Slice into rolls about 3/4 an inch thick.
Preheat oven to 435oF. Arrange rolls, cut side up, on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Meanwhile, combine Country Gravy Mix, milk, and water in sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Spoon the Country Gravy over the Sausage Pinwheels. 8 Servings.
Hint: For easier slicing, wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate 1-2 hours.
