Ingredients

2 quarts Vegetable oil, for frying
4 large Chicken breasts, cut into tenders
3 cups Panko breadcrumbs
2 cups All-purpose flour
1 pkg Williams Taco Seasoning
2 Eggs
2 tbsp Water
1 (12.3 oz) pkg Frozen waffles
Maple syrup, for garnish
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat to  375°F. Place breadcrumbs into one shallow bowl. Whisk together flour and Williams Taco Seasoning and place into a separate shallow bowl. Whisk together eggs and water in a third separate shallow bowl.

Dredge chicken strips into the flour mixture, then into egg mixture, then into breadcrumbs. Working in batches, place chicken strips into the hot oil until cooked completely and an internal temperature of 165°F has been reached, about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, microwave waffles until thawed, about 10-20 seconds. Fold waffles in half to resemble taco shells and secure with toothpicks. Place on a parchment lined rimmed baking sheet and bake until waffles are toasted, about 3-5 minutes. Top each waffle evenly with chicken strips. Garnish with a drizzle of maple syrup and parsley.
