If life gives you Williams Taco Seasoning, make a Tex Mex grilling sauce. This sauce is perfect for any meat of your choice and pairs great with a margarita by the grill especially when tailgating with friends and family.

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2/3 cup finely chopped onion
1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
2/3 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar, or more to taste
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 pkg. Williams Taco Seasoning, any flavor

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

Heat oil in a small sauce pan over medium high heat. Add onions and saute 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook, over low heat, stirring frequently for 15 minutes.

Brush any cut of chicken, pork or beef generously with the sauce during the last 5-10 minutes of regular grilling or cooking time.

Store leftover sauce in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
