Who says chili has to be boring? Dating back to 1937, our signature Original Chili seasoning has had people enjoying all the tantalizing flavors packed in this packet. Though you don’t have to just enjoy it in this warm comforting dish, there are many ways to add this original seasoning to add flare to an array of dishes.

Preparation Instructions:

Chili Con Carne

Yield: 8 servings

  • 1. Crumble and brown 2 lbs. ground beef in large skillet. Drain fat if desired.
  • 2. Stir in 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce and 1 cup (8 oz.) water or 1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes.
  • 3. Add 1 can (15 oz.) red, kidney, or pinto beans.
  • 4. Blend in 1/4 cup Chili seasoning. Salt if desired.
  • 5. Simmer 15 minutes or longer.

 

Chili may be topped with sour cream, shredded cheese, onions, hot chilies or guacamole. Ground pork or turkey may be substituted for the ground beef.
